FAQ’s

We do not teach anyone under the age of 16 years in general group classes ( unless stated as kids aerial fitness ). Participants between the ages of 16 and 18 must have consent from a parent or guardian.

You’re never too old to take up pole!

We will help you lose weight and gain strength, and confidence. Everyone starts somewhere! Pole is suitable for all fitness levels and people of all shapes and sizes. Best of all you will be having so much fun you won’t even realise you are working out! Pole works your upper body and core, raises your heartrate and burns a lot of calories. However if you feel particularly concerned about your weight please contact us.

Wear something that you feel comfortable in that does not restrict movement. Gym clothing is fine. When you first start classes it is fine to wear leggings or tracksuit bottoms. Once you start learning to sit and climb the pole you will need some skin to grip the pole so shorts are essential.

Lycra shorts are recommended, but any shorts will do.

As you progress and become more confident up the pole there are some moves where you need skin grip around the waist and tummy. Most people just roll their T-shirt/vest up for these moves. However you can also wear a crop top.

Please bring warm clothes for warm-up and cool-down.

Classes are taken barefoot. You are welcome to wear ballet slippers or similar if you prefer.

In order to protect our poles and your belongings, jewellery must be removed prior to commencing a class.

Do not apply oils or lotions to the skin prior to your class. They will make you slip off the pole!

Yes, we have a small car park st the rear of the building- there is also plenty of free parking around Aldridge town centre.

While you are perfecting new moves on the pole there is a risk that you will get bruises and/or friction burns. Some people bruise more easily than others.

After warm-up we do spins and poses, connecting moves together. We also do strength conditioning for pole, and when you are ready and as we progress we work on combos and tricks on the pole. We  will always finish the class with a cool-down and stretch.

You will learn mainly on static poles however there will be regular opportunities to use spinning poles too. These rotate and create a very beautiful, graceful movement.

Make sure you bring your own water.

Bring a flannel or hand towel. Although the poles will be thoroughly cleaned before your class, you will find it useful to regularly dry your hands and dry the pole to prevent slipping.

If you are asthmatic please bring your own inhaler and let your instructor know where it is so she can access it if needs be.

Do not eat any later than two hours prior to your class. This can help for some people who experience motion sickness!
